DIY Died Glass Vase

Writer's picture: Lily HarperLily Harper

I think this little glass vase is so adorable with big flowers! It's so cute and super easy.

Isn't this cute? The swirl of colors on a little vase and big flowers in it.

This is this week's weekly challenge! Do you think you can do it?

You will need:

  • A glass vase or container (I used a baby food jar)

  • A tray

  • Water

  • Nail polish

  • A toothpick

  • Fake flowers (Or if you feel like it, soil and real seeds)

First, take the tray and fill it level with water. Your tray should be one to two inches tall like the one below.

After it is filled with water, add in a few drops of you choice of color nail polish.

Take your toothpick and swirl the nail polish.

Dip you glass jar in the water and spin it until you have the desired amount of paint on it.

I like mine not fully covered, but mostly covered.

Now here's the fun part:

Picking out flowers! Go to a Hobby Lobby or other craft store and pick out flowers that go well with the paint you used. I used these multi-colored flowers that brought out the pink and purple in my vase.

This is so much fun because you can customize it with different color nail polish and flowers!

So have fun with it!
